The question
What happens to capital, ownership, reinvestment, and institution-building when the horizon is longer than an exit?
Forever is the company-building and economic layer in the existing direction. Its role is to gather reusable capability, talent, and learning so that useful experiments can grow into companies and institutions.
What should endure
The portfolio is not limited to projects with immediate revenue. Public-good and learning projects can create direct value, knowledge, capability, and reusable assets.
Keeping meaningful work alive does not mean giving every project equal spending or equal founder attention. Each project needs a truthful state and a next smallest outcome.
What the research examines
- Capital and reinvestment across a longer horizon.
- Ownership, participation, and the people who benefit from productive assets.
- How shared capability helps distinct companies grow without erasing their differences.
- How public-value work continues alongside revenue-producing work.
- How evidence changes where resources belong.
Relationship to the work
Abadaa provides the research lens. Forever is the company-building institution. Power is the proposed operating and intelligence layer across the portfolio.
The companies retain their own customers, promises, domain knowledge, and operating constraints. Reuse should be earned through evidence.
Current state
This overview follows the recorded Forever direction and the existing economics research page. The complete manuscript of The Peculiar Economics of Forever is still being reconciled for this publication.
The page presents a research thesis. It does not offer an investment, ownership interest, or finished financial product.
What would move the work forward
Recover the full economic argument, connect it to concrete examples, and examine what the longer horizon changes in actual decisions. The question should be tested through the life of useful work: what is funded, what is preserved, what is shared, and what is allowed to become an institution.
